In the early days of il Panino, in 1999, the company ran a coffee bar in the Desjardins Complex food court. At the time, it was among the first to provide such elaborate panini for customers.
The concept was implemented, recipes were tested and customers were receptive, allowing il Panino to experience real success. Soon, the company began to build a strong reputation for healthy fast food.
Over the years, il Panino grew and evolved to open its first bistrot in downtown Montreal in 2008. During this period, the company also decided to broaden its horizons and become a strong competitor in the coffee industry. With the help of the prestigious Lavazza roasting house, originally from Turin and established since 1895, il Panino became a café and was able to offer even more to customers.
Today, il Panino is a leader in the panini-café concept, providing fresh and quality ingredients that are cooked on site. All recipes have been carefully designed by the il Panino team.
